I replaced the rocker cover gasket on my 2012 BMW X5 and although I was able to carefully remove the part the center of the pipe collapsed when I tried to put it back on. Apparently the plastic has become very brittle over the years. This item fits perfectly. The side with the tabs requires some effort. I used a screwdriver to get some leverage to push the ends in. Everything seems to work fine - no CEL or other errors. If you are planning on replacing the valve cover or gasket, I would also consider replacing that part. You won't waste time removing the old part safely and sanely. Simply cut the hose in half or snap the tabs knowing you'll be replacing it.
