I have another version of this unit and it works great (I only have 1 cutting wheel not 3 sizes). This brand has proven to be reliable and works without any problems. I think there are small pineapples or very large ones, then different sizes would be good. but I suspect that even if it comes with 3 blades people will only use one of them? Wager is a new and nice addition (I didn't have one at the time). but i just take the slices out, put them on a plate and cut with a knife, but the wedge knife seems to be of good quality. There is no reason to buy metal versions of this item. This one is durable and works well, if you're like me you'll still only use it every few months after the novelty wears off. An empty pineapple then becomes a great drinking glass (after removing the remaining core). You can impress your friends and act like a bartender at a resort in Hawaii! Enjoy. we do!
