Review on Gray Liberty Pumps 257 Pump, 1.5 Inches by Tsar Smithlin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Two separate houses, two faulty cells and two freedom successes!

Over the last 4+ years we have had to replace two Zoeller pumps in two different homes due to their typical, well known float switch sticking problems. We replaced them with these Liberty pumps and we are very happy! Liberty pumps are quieter, definitely drain sumps faster, and being full pumps they can also pump larger debris (dirt, small rocks/gravel, broken debris, etc.). We also installed Liberty SJ10 SumpJet backup water pumps which saved our basements from flooding due to a defective Zoeller float switch. I used to be able to hear the Zoeller pumps from around the house as they started up (just a faint hum, but I could still hear them). However, these Liberty 257 pumps are so quiet that I don't hear them until I walk down the stairs and stand next to them. But that doesn't bother me as I have a lot of faith in the SJ10 Backup SumpJet just in case. Freedom is the way! Just because a manufacturer is better known on the market (Zoeller) doesn't mean that they make the best (Liberty)! We also use QUIET CHECK VALVES CLR1.5 from BRADY and still do; so good.
