Review on Keeper 07203 Waterproof Cargo Cubic by Nathan Ortiz

Bigger and slightly better than I thought

I bought this cargo bag for a long holiday trip. I couldn't pack everything in my car so I needed a roof rack. I didn't want to spend money on a hard sided cargo carrier and I don't like the space limitations that such carriers have. I knew I'd have to carry odd-shaped items on the roof, so trying a cargo bag made sense. Overall I am very happy with its performance. I've driven 4000 miles and used it on my car most of the time. This cargo bag is MUCH roomier than I imagined. In it I kept a huge plastic box full of gear, most of the luggage, a small footstool, 2 folding chairs in their pockets - and I still had room. It was very interesting to install this luggage bag on my van roof myself and then store all these items in it. Then I grabbed the ties (which were attached to the cargo bag). On the way back I used extra elastic cords to attach the pannier to the roof, but didn't use them on the way back (it wasn't necessary). I've ridden over 1000 miles in high winds and rain/sleet. This cargo bag has never leaked and has kept my stuff clean and dry. Of course I made sure that the cargo pocket was arranged so that the "sponge" covering the zippers would protect the top properly and this probably had an impact on keeping my stuff dry. at the very back of my van's roof rack during transit. I checked the attachment cords at every stop and I usually had to retighten one or all, but nothing major. The ropes never broke, and aside from requiring extra care when traveling, they also withstood a heavy cargo bag. When I got to my destination, the bag folded and folded with no problem. It was a big "buggy". So I went to the car wash and used this water gun to wash the bugs off, then I let them dry and then I took them off. Overall I am very happy with this pannier and will use it again should the need arise.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
