Its pretty clear there are only a couple of Standup Paddleboard manufacturers in China that make all the SUPs for basically all the brands. Presumably a few that know what they are doing, and there are those that clearly do not. This Kingdely branded board comes from the one that does. If you take away the simple graphics, the parts, features, and design are so similar as to be nearly indistinguishable from nay identical to the boards of top rated brands costing 5 times more.Compare to Red Paddle Co, Bluefin, and Bodyglove.Things we love:- Carbon fiber paddle with an injection molded blade (the blade flexes to give you the correct 10 degree angle in the water but won't crack or break if you accidentally stand on it or crush it with a car door on land)- Recommended inflation pressure is 15psi (we found 12psi is absolutely fine for an entire day on warm water. Cold water go to 15psi or top off with air after first 30min). A board we own with the exact same construction is rated for 20+psi.- Not too lightweight. This SUP has the perfect balance of durability and portability.- Pump included has a convenient deflation port. This SUP doesn't want to deflate on its own. which is just fine if it ever sprung a leak out on the water. Have a lifejacket just in case.- Fins are replaceable with durable, non futzy, lever lock boxes.- Simple subtle graphics that don't hurt the eyes.- Tapered stern / tail is a joy to paddle and ride waves.- 31" width is a lot of fun and builds core muscles faster than other bloated SUP yachts.- Luxury tether strap has the appropriate length, swivels, and padding to make it useful and comfortable for an entire day.- The travel bag has wheels. These boards get heavy trekking them to and fro for any distance. let me repeat. the travel bag has wheels! What we dont like:- Paying $800 for our first SUP from a top rated brand only to realize the quality and features of this one are EXACTLY the same, made in the same factory.- A pointy bow with greater rise would help cut through moderate wave and wind chop better.- Travel bag is small - but everything fits inside with a little care (and pumped deflation of the board).- Kingdely doesn't include a kick ramp at the stern / tail of the board to help with a pirouette turn- Paddle despite the carbon fiber blend shaft and handle, is still pretty heavy because of the bulletproof plastic blade. Balance point is deep in the lower third.- High blade flex robs a power at the beginning of each stroke with some noticeable shudder/wobble in the water.- This board is so good we would like to take it to rougher waters - perhaps class 3 rapids. But not without changing the tether to include a quick release.
