Review on ๐Ÿšš EBC DP61273 6000 Series Greenstuff Brake Pads for Trucks and SUVs by Emili Hudson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Wet weather not great

Bought these thinking (from their ad) they were better than sliced bread. Follow the instructions to install and align with the "T" and everything installed with no problems. BTY I have been an ASE certified fur master for over 25 years. 2 weeks after installation I got caught in a pretty heavy downpour coming from Estes Park Co. The brakes have done about 520 miles so far and I have almost NO BRAKES DOWN THE MOUNTAIN! Now it's on a 99ft truck and I've completely flushed the brake system, new slotted and perforated discs (because I drive a lot in the mountains), new brake calipers (SSBS) and everything new at the rear. In the down turns, I could tell that the only brakes I had were on the rear axle. I had my 5 year old son with me, I didn't want to scare him so I pretended nothing was wrong and slowed down while shitting myself. In dry weather these brakes work great, once it gets a little damp (not wet, WET) - terrible. It's good that I live in Colorado, it practically doesn't rain, except for this year, of course.

Pros
  • Improves stopping power
Cons
  • No insurance
