Reliable, well thought-out radio. I expected nothing less from the folks at C Crane and it didn't disappoint. First of all you should know that I received a newer model of this radio; These newer models appear to have started shipping in January 2013. I'll post a picture of the insert I received, but it says there's a new radio controller inside that gives even better AM/FM reception and selectivity, and they contain a better speaker. This means a slightly shorter listening time with the same number of "rechargeable handles" than the older model, due to the increased power consumption. That doesn't bother me at all, because the sound quality and functionality of this device is excellent. A few quick notes: - In my tests, the radio reception was very good. even with the antenna extended. The flashlight is quite bright and has a moderately narrow beam at close range. Please note that this device does not come with a wall mounted charging adapter. It's not essential, so they don't include it. If you need one, buy any adapter with the following specs: - 5V with at least 300mA DC output - Negative tip polarity Enjoy!
