The shakers were well packaged and feel very sturdy - they're also half filled with coarse sea salt and peppercorns which is nice. However, they are very different from those shown in the photo. They're still nice, but they're completely cylindrical, with a brushed metal top and bottom and clear acrylic in the center, so you can see what's salt and what's pepper. There are no diagonal metal parts here. However, they are easy to fill and still attractive. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to set the grind level - for now it's fine and I'm making pepper dust. I hope I'm missing something because this page says the coffee grinder is adjustable. But until I figure it out, I shouldn't say what the site promised. So overall the shakers probably deserve around 4 points, but since they're not really what I ordered they get a 3. On the other hand I don't hate them, they're very pretty and probably won. don't send her back.
