There are cheaper similar tapes. This is what your hot end and thermistor wires are wrapped around. Use the real thing. The slightly higher cost doesn't matter - unless you're rebuilding hot ends to make money, they won't run out anytime soon. It can withstand high heat and keep your wires together and secure.
