This bike storage system is very durable. It's well built and the installation guide is pretty good. So why the low rating? The hooks are very flat. My mountain bike tires didn't fit. I was able to store my kids' bikes, but that actually works best with the narrow tires of a road bike or maybe a city/hybrid bike. Since most people have mountain bikes, this won't work for most people. I think the description needs to be changed or the design changed to accommodate wider tires.
