After I finished my VFR I start my IFR I decided it was time to buy my own headset. I've spent hours trying on all the different headsets online in airline shops, from basic headsets with no noise cancellation to two Zulus and Bose headsets. First thing I want to say is that active noise canceling headsets for aviation are amazing. When you talk to someone on the intercom, you appear to be in a quiet room. When choosing between Lightspeed and Bose, the price of Lightspeed really convinced me. Comparing the Sierra and Zulus, I didn't see enough of a difference to justify the higher price. The construction on them, the domain of plastic, seems solid and reliable. With the guarantee I had no qualms about buying it and now that I'm using it I have no regrets.
