Review on 🔎 Stemedu 5PCS RCWL-0516 Motion Detection Sensor: Advanced Microwave Radar Module for Arduino ESP8266 Nodemcu Wemos - Ideal for Animal Detection, Long Range 5-7m, Outperforms HC-SR501 by Pat Peoples

I use this outdoors, hidden in a piece of cedar wood, in a small piece of PVC pipe attached to a 4x4 mailbox post. So there is 1/4" wood plus PVC in front of the sensor and 3 1/2" wood plus PVC behind it. It detects people or vehicles up to 15 feet ahead and completely ignores any movement from behind, which is perfect for my use. When used indoors the sensor is too sensitive and can be tamed if you know how to use a soldering iron by connecting a 1MΩ resistor between the R and GN points on the board. When used outdoors with the resistor added the sensor does next to nothing but works fine without the resistor as discussed above. So far I've tested 4 of the 5 I received and they all worked.
