It's not really a lifetime guarantee.

Their lifetime warranty is approximately nine years. Thank goodness the cost has dropped from the early days to $50 for a light. The only annoying thing is that the diode doesn't last a lifetime. I will still buy these bulbs but I can't say if they last 4 times as long as the old regular bulbs.
