Review on Powerful 19.2Volt 3.8Ah Replacement Battery for Craftsman DieHard C3 Cordless Drills - 2 Packs by Rich Rickenbaugh

When Sears sold the Craftsman brand to Stanley, the already obsolete C3 tool chest was effectively destroyed. Mine still had plenty of time after over 13 years, but changing the battery was a hassle. I could get a DieHard replacement for a good few years before the charger gave a horrible "Battery Bad" indicator. I had my last DieHard earlier this year so I needed options. These batteries had good reviews and were reasonably priced so I bought a set of 2. At first glance they look almost identical to the original batteries for these devices. They just don't have the Craftsman/DieHard marking and the clips are dark red (although mine are getting darker towards the end of their lives). The construction is solid and they snap perfectly. After several months of use, there are no quality problems. I can no longer make a direct comparison with the new DieHard, but I have the feeling that these batteries perform at least as well as new ones. Charge times seem to be the same, they provide enough power to keep my tools working properly and they don't discharge too quickly. I will definitely buy more of these. I really can't justify spending money to replace an entire set of power tools every time the manufacturer changes something. So as long as they are available I will continue to buy them to keep my C3 tools strong.
