I bought these hoping I would never need them. I ended up getting stuck in some pretty nasty sand (I got aired out). I've tried using these dug tires, placing them where your tires SHOULD hook, and my truck (1500 Silverado with G80 limited-slip differential, 2WD) and my tires just spun when I tried to slow the climb. Sand. Eventually the tire came off one of the "mats" behind my truck and my left side tire half melted a few ribs. I did NOT start the engine, I was trying to control wheel spin with traction control on. nope $70 down the toilet. I waited 6 hours for a friend to get me out. Carpets are still in the desert. Very disappointed.
