Review on πŸ”‹ Tablet Accessories: Canopy Keyboard Stand for Apple Magic by Balthazar Cooper

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best keyboard solution for your iPad Pro. Don't be fooled into buying a smart keyboard

I was initially disappointed with the cover as the position of the iPad when in the cover is slightly recessed under the keyboard. So you can't swipe up to use the dock. But I quickly realized that you can use Command + Option + D to open the Dock. Another great thing is that you can use multi-finger gestures to open the app switcher (instead of the minimalist Alt + Tab). In principle, you can do whatever you need with a canopy. The beauty of a canopy is that it doesn't try to do too much. All you need is a beautiful case for your Apple Magic Keyboard that converts into a stand. The stand is sometimes not the most stable when moving it. However, this is also acceptable for longer sessions. Sometimes the button comes loose, but not enough to be upset. The canopy thrives on how good the magic keyboard is and how terrible the other options are in comparison. The Magic Keyboard is full-size, comfortable, and responsive. Smart Keyboard, the most elegant and compact solution, is incredibly unreliable and barely connects after 6 months. I've been considering replacing the Smart Keyboard, but it looks like there's a problem with the build and it's inevitably shutting down. Other options, like the Logitech Slim Folio etc. are big, bulky and also poorly made. They, too, are bound to fail. After the initial disappointment, I'm incredibly happy with my workflow. With Magic Keyboard + Canopy, I can work 10 times more efficiently than before when I use Smart Keyboard. (Actually, I'm typing this review now as if by magic). Don't repeat my mistake.
