Review on Vornado MD1-0002 Replacement Humidifier Wick (2-Pack), White - Long-lasting Moisture and Clean Air Solution by Casey Mann

Two months with my first set of filters. Desert SW with 3 drops of Nutribiotic Gse Liquid Concentrate Grapefruit Seed Extract, 2 fl oz at each tap water fill. Every two weeks I wipe them down completely and soak them in vinegar for 30 minutes. After two months I was ready to install replacement wicks but apart from a small discoloration these wicks will still work. No smell, no mucus, the room is a bit cooler but that's ok. Make sure the fan is completely off before hitting or removing the humidifier case as this could cause the fan to become unbalanced. UPDATE: For this second winter, we've decided to just swap them out monthly instead of trying to clean them. I use 5 drops of GSE liquid and have never had a problem with odor. I usually order a kit when replacing so I have new ones on hand. Unfortunately, this time the price has increased by about 30%. I will try to clean and reuse my old ones due to the price change. Thankfully winter is almost over so I don't think I'll need them, but definitely for another month. I might look for a new source next winter.
