Well I just got a new mini desktop and my wireless router is at the other end of the house. The router signal isn't as strong as I'd like and I've even tried extending the WiFi to another part of the house, but I've had issues with that. Then I tried this little antenna. Note - I AM. NO. A. TECH. GUY, having said that I was a little annoyed that the instructions were very unclear and it came with a small CD to install the drivers and everything else it needs. So the computer does NOT have a traditional CD drive, I had to plug in a USB drive which wasn't really a problem, just go one step further and then wait for it to load. The hard drive downloaded an application that didn't work really well on my computer, which by the way runs Windows 10 PRO. I was so frustrated that I just took out the antenna and figured I could somehow deal with the small signal I had from the router. I completely uninstalled the app from my computer. fast forward a few days. I figured it really doesn't need a driver to work - that Windows should be able to handle it - again not a techie - so this time without the CD I just plugged the antenna into the USB 3.0. slot and Windows recognized and started it. This time it worked like a dream and improved my ability to easily connect to my router. Now I'm happy with the product and it's pretty good just with crappy instructions. If you just want to amplify the signal, plug and play.
