not super strong but very pretty. I would give four stars for the lack of durability but let's be honest you buy this because it's great. We bought one of these for my wife's cruiser 10 years ago. He looks very cute and holds her stuff very well. But it's wicker, which means it will break if exposed to inclement weather, and ours ended up breaking. We went shopping, and yet there is nothing nicer. So we're going to leave her bike in the garage, carefully remove the basket when we put the bike on the car's bike rack, and plan to replace it again in 5-10 years. I wouldn't recommend this if your bike will sleep outside, if you're carrying a bunch of heavy stuff, or if you expect your pannier to be stiff and bulky. If you like sweets and are okay with taking care of your hamper and eventually replacing it, you'll love Nantucket.
