Review on Art Advantage Acrylic Brush 24 Piece by Denise Davis

OK for rough work or beginners

This is a decent set, not the best brushes, you get 24 brushes and a cloth bag for under $15. The bristles on the big flats came out when brushed but not too many maybe 5 or 6 hairs but I had to brush the 6 hairs in particular before use as they had some adhesive residue like white glue on them. , and some light dust that flew away when I swung the bristles, but only in those 6 levels. Maybe they dipped it in some kind of gel to keep it in shape, for some reason I had to wash these 6 brushes with soap and water to clean them before using them. I bought them not to paint on canvas, that's what I have other brushes for (some cost as much as this set alone), but to paint landscapes on my models, on plaster etc where they wear out faster over time . and I don't want to use good brushes for that. So if you're a model railroader like me, this would be perfect for that. I'm not saying they don't work on canvas, I just didn't buy them for that. The flap on it falls where the sutures that hold the brushes end. Because it is a flimsy canvas, it is awkward to hold together and fold for storage. It's okay, just canvas is a weak material. But for what I want to do, it will fit. My other canvas bag actually fits the bottom edge, it's so thick and sturdy, just a comparison here. want to buy a starter kit for their kids, it is good value for money and worth buying just for that. If you are a beginner, don't let these brushes distract you from your painting because as you get better you will buy better brushes over time, but first? good sentence.
