Great brush for the price!

I ordered these brushes as a starter kit to try my hand at making my own wall art. I figured because they're so cheap I'd have to deal with poor workmanship and bristles falling off or brush heads that just fall off completely. I was very happy when they arrived to see they are very strong! Natural bristle brushes wash off very easily, synthetic bristle brushes don't wash that well (they're white and my acrylic got them a little dirty), but that's not a problem. The case is great too. The top…

Great sentence! in painting

I bought this set together with another one because I like to paint. There are people who don't understand why there are hard brushes in this set. Some textures require a harder brush. When experimenting with your brushes, try them dry and wet. Oh, and don't beat yourself up too much if you end up with bristles on your canvas. Just use a small dry brush to lift it slightly off the canvas and pinch it with your fingertips/nails. These brushes are great. If you are an artist, change a lot of…

Potential, but not a hit

We've had it for two months now. I received it as a gift at the last minute, just before Christmas. Upon inspection, it turned out that there was a problem with the cover. All seams had to be re-stitched in order to use the pouch as the edges were poorly sewn and unraveled to the point where the brushes slipped. While I was making repairs. I also attached the cords. Still, the canvas material used was nice and durable, so it was worth fixing. So the end result on the bag itself was good if you…

Too cheap for brushes

This is the first set of brushes I have ever bought. I have used them. about 4 times now. Maybe I just didn't give them out? They seem cheap to me. The bristles are too hard and leave very ugly streaks. I have used other brushes before. I recently took some drawing classes, which actually prompted me to buy myself a set of drawing supplies. These brushes seem to be worse than the brushes I used in class. It should be noted that the courses were not exclusively professional handicraft courses…

tips difficult? Here's the solution

I bought this set for my daughter's birthday. The set has been beautifully assembled into a canvas roll. This is a big plus for me as it keeps the brushes in order. I feel the brushes are of decent quality and work really well for my 11 year old girl when she paints her pictures. The set contains 24 brushes, 6 flat white nylon brushes have their bristles glued together. I know sometimes you run your fingers over them and they come off. Well they're not, they're pretty stuck. I emailed Art…

OK for rough work or beginners

This is a decent set, not the best brushes, you get 24 brushes and a cloth bag for under $15. The bristles on the big flats came out when brushed but not too many maybe 5 or 6 hairs but I had to brush the 6 hairs in particular before use as they had some adhesive residue like white glue on them. , and some light dust that flew away when I swung the bristles, but only in those 6 levels. Maybe they dipped it in some kind of gel to keep it in shape, for some reason I had to wash these 6 brushes…

Pros
  • Painting
Cons
  • Some bugs

The quality of the 24 piece Art Advantage brush set is absolutely impeccable. Both the flat and the round brush are very, very well made and serve their purpose very well. Smaller round brushes (with very fine synthetic bristles) have very fine tips for very precise work. I've used most of the brushes about two dozen times and have noticed very little bristle loss. The set contains 12 flat brushes and 12 round brushes: - Of the 12 flat brushes, 6 are made of natural bristles (large brushes with
