I bought this coat for my 9 year old who always wears a tank top and boxer shorts while everyone else wears long sleeves and pajama bottoms. I swear it's always at least 5 degrees warmer than here. He doesn't like layers and isn't responsible for his outerwear, so I knew I needed a coat big enough to keep him warm outside but big enough so he wouldn't lose it at school. This coat was all of that and a bag of chips. My kid is in the 30th percentile so he's short so I might get an 8 but I wanted something he could grow into so we got a 10. It's a little baggy and it's knee-deep, but it suits us. He likes cuffed sleeves and deep pockets to keep all of his 12,526 Pokémon cards together and dry.
