Review on SAMSUNG LS32A804NMNXGO 31.5" 4K Monitor with Adjustable Stand and Anti-Glare Coating by Damon Hardy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Slim, plug and play, lots of screen real estate

Update April 2022: I've used it quite a bit while my wife and I worked from home and it still works great. Dust aside I can't tell it apart now from what we had 9 months ago. People read reviews about the "bad" parts - when they do, I just don't like that in portrait mode the viewing angle seems to be up and down to me causing a little blurring of contrast. It's also a great monitor. To four more people reading the entire review, this monitor is a top notch monitor that would make a great addition to any work-from-home or gaming battlestation. 4K resolution means ultra-sharp images, a 60Hz refresh rate is more than enough for most gamers, and for those working from home, the resolution is literally four times the resolution of the old HD monitors you used before have used. I'm using FancyZones (looks great) to split this monitor into 3 windows. Of course I use it as a giant monitor for most of my work, but where it really shines is where I have 3 or more apps open and I can easily switch between them without minimizing the window. And if you already own multiple monitors (and if you don't, then welcome to 2021), this monitor's thin bezel means there's minimal dead space between screens. heavy and allows for portrait or landscape use - however I already had a mount screwed to my wall so I used the built in VESA mount. One thing to be wary of is that the mount is slightly recessed into the back of the monitor (see my picture). So if the mounting pad on your arm is much larger than the mount, it may not fit in this cutout. If so, use spacers (stack a bunch of washers from the hardware store) and you'll be fine. Overall I am satisfied with this monitor. I'm considering picking a monitor/screen calibration tool as I feel like I'm not making full use of this monitor - and it's probably one of my settings that gives a slightly blurry top and bottom view of 1-2 inches (in portrait) . Or maybe that damn monitor is so big and my tunnel vision is so narrow that I can't take full advantage of it. Either way, if you have the budget for this monitor and it's on your list, I highly recommend it. Sleek design, no dead pixels, literally plug and play --- and from a reputable manufacturer (not some eBay fly night).
