I really like this kitchen rug. When I first opened it the smell was there but it lasted less than a minute or two. I like the pattern. It's simple and goes well with many different styles. The mat itself is nice and thick and definitely has good cushioning quality. I stood on them while washing dishes and my feet felt great the whole time. I decided to test some of the claims in the description. It's definitely durable. I used a butter knife and pressed it into the mat. I can't even tell where I did it and I thrust pretty deep. I poured some water and honey on it. Both can be cleaned well and easily. I also dropped a glass jar on it and was surprised to see the glass didn't even bounce enough to hit my hardwood floor. That's a big plus as I have kids who drop things all the time. I had this video but it won't load. Sad. I like it the most and will probably buy a few more. It would work great in our garage, bathroom, laundry room, and office. It's very versatile.
