Our kitten is 6 months old and weighs about 7 pounds. She's outgrown her adventure harness so we tried this one. It is currently in its tightest position and has a slightly loose fit. She only ran away or withdrew from it 1x. But that's because she has a very slippery coat and I wanted to see if that's possible. It took her a minute, which to be honest I had plenty of time to get in her way. Otherwise, she doesn't care that it's on. Runs and jumps in it as if she were naked. Getting dressed isn't a problem, you have to tuck your head into the strap and then snap the sides in place, which is a lot easier than going through what we had. It kept popping out of the old one before we had a chance to shut it down.
