Before I begin, IMPORTANT NOTE TO BUYERS: Be sure to check with the seller what they have stock. I did this and was told that they do indeed have a B156HAN01.2 matte screen - item TWO, not item one. I bought it anyway and am completely satisfied. However, before you buy, make sure you know what you're getting. Attention buyers. Coming to the actual review: I LOVE this screen. I bought it to replace the stock screen on my Lenovo Y50 (if you're thinking of doing the same and haven't already, look here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/ideapad-essential/755626- y50 -replace-displays -compendium.html for a great post on the Y50 display replacement resource forum Also check out the Y50 screen replacement youtube tutorial I used lighter tones and a special red and green enhancement The contrast is MUCH better where the standard screen struggled in dark scenes in movies/games, this screen is crisp and shows detail easily in low light (like The Dark Knight movie series or the Bioshock game) Horizontal view doesn't exist when you're looking at the screen you can see it clearly Recommendation 10/ 10 Exchange is easy (see Yotube again) Assuming money is no object Go for a $1000-$1500 laptop A $100 -Upgrading the screen is a worthwhile investment given the huge difference in display quality.
