Review on LG 49WL95C-W 49-Inch Curved Ultrawide 5120x1440p Monitor with Tilt and Height Adjustment by John West

Almost perfect - 2020 Mac Book Pro

I am using this monitor with a 2020 13" MBP connected via USB-CI, previously had 2 24" monitors connected. The amount of free space as a result of the changes is impressive, and my desk looks a lot cleaner and more organized. Because you can crop windows however you like, you get a lot more usable space than traditional monitors. I don't do video editing or anything like that, I bought this monitor as my monitor for my daily work because I'm obsessed with multitasking and need to keep a few things in mind all the time. Pros: - Everything looks very nice. - The picture is great (I don't game or anything) - The speakers are surprisingly good with quality surround sound - The ability to connect the MBP to this monitor via a single USB-C and power the laptop is great Cons : - My biggest downside is that I would have liked it to have more curves. It's a very gentle curve, which is nice when the monitor is pushed backwards, but would certainly be better if it were more curved. The windows and application hosting software is not that good. It works well, but there are oddities that are annoying. Spend $10, buy Moom and use it instead. When outputting audio from my MBP to a monitor over a USB-C connection, my operating system's volume controls do not work. This is a Mac OS limitation and can be bypassed with an app called Sound Control. Not a minus, but I think you need a large table for this, because it does not curve much. My desk is 35.5 inches deep and I slide the monitor all the way out which is perfect.
