This thing is way sturdier than I expected, the base is solid and super strong as are the metal posts that hold it up. The only thing I didn't like was the clumsy instructions. They tell you to screw the crossbar to the 2 posts before screwing the post to the base. Each post is screwed in separately from the bottom of the base. I just screwed in the posts first, then attached the cross and it worked. It would probably work if I assembled everything, but I didn't think about it until everything was assembled. It was also annoying that the first few screws used aren't marked, just the ones that go into the back of the TV. It didn't take long though, and it's a great, solid base.
