Very happy with the purchase. Makes great coffee for a small price and space, and the glass seems very strong, not easy to break. I use this for an 8 ounce cup of coffee at my desk in the mornings at work. Here's how I do it: 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds, 8 ounces of hot water (between 195 and 200 feet for best results), pour ground coffee into the press, add enough water to cover the bottom, let sit 30 seconds , add the remaining part. Water - cover with the lid on and open the tamper - let stand for another 2.5 to 3 minutes - slowly sink - immediately pour into a cup As with all French presses, you must coarsely grind the coffee beans. Let the coffee sit for a minute or two to allow excess sediment to settle to the bottom, and don't drink your last coffee as all the sediment (excess grist that didn't make it into the flask) is there. The press is easy to clean, I rinse mine, cup and plunger when I'm done drinking coffee and wipe the inside with a paper towel. I then placed the flask upside down on the press to let the rest air dry the next day. You can see from the photo I posted that this press cannot brew more than 8 ounces of coffee. For the price, this press is worth the money.
