The only good thing was that the size was perfect for my large coffee mugs. I washed it once out of the box and then used it. After use I rinsed it out and put it in the sink. Works great, especially if you like the fuller flavor of well-brewed coffee in a French Press (which I love). Ideal for a cup (but no more). But there is a design flaw. I have several other large French press manufacturers (all Bodum). They all have room for a metal column/rod that screws into the bottom of the filter.
