I can't afford all the solid gold hoop earrings yet to give me the unified, minimal look I've been looking for, but at the same time they're perfect! I have 5 piercings in my ears and a septum. The advice I can give is when opening, hold both sides of the part of the ring that is opening and pull CAREFULLY. It's a small ring on a tiny hinge, so of course it's going to go east to break! To close, make sure you attach this exposed section to a spot where you can see it clearly. Align the pieces as best you can, reattach both sides and press lightly but firmly. Using this technique, I was able to open and close the rings with ease. Of course there is a learning curve, but you have to be patient. Of course, do not open the ring with the hinge portion of the piercing (especially if it's relatively new), as this can cause tears and pain. They're simple, cute, and don't itch or hurt me. I love the reports that the color doesn't fade, so 5/5 for me. Thank you also to the workers who sent and delivered this to me so quickly at this point!
