Ps4 Pro kept giving me the error "disc not recognizable". I was very frustrated, I just bought a new game and couldn't play it. I googled this error and most likely the problem is in the laser reader. After installation everything works now. You have to disassemble the entire PS4 Pro to get to the laser, which I've never done before, but I just followed the instructions on YouTube. This product comes with a torx screwdriver and thermal grease. You will also need a small Phillips screwdriver and isopropyl alcohol to remove the old thermal paste. Since I'm repasting I went ahead and replaced the thermal pads, might as well "tweak" it. The ones I bought separately. Can't measure the temperature, but the fan noise seems to be lower. It is important to order the correct part number. After disassembling the PS4 and reaching the laser, the part number is on the black border of the laser.
