Review on HP 15 Ef1300Wm 3 3250 Silver Windows by Addy Itthipong ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

Since I didn't purchase this laptop for myself, I didn't want to void the warranty by installing any additional memory. Windows 7 requires wheels in order to be installed, Windows 8.1 is installed automatically, but I was unable to locate the necessary graphics and wireless drivers and was forced to upgrade to the most recent version (version 10k), which is significantly less stable and has a worse performance overall than version 8k, taking longer to boot up and shut down and leaving significantly less free memory. Once the settings were adjusted, 10ka started behaving more normally; in general, the laptop performs admirably when used for office work and web browsing, and it also conveniently removes the NVME disk. Even with the memory switched to 2-channel, the laptop is unfit for gaming due to its low power restriction ( 15w), which causes the processor's frequency (and memory's!) to constantly jump, leading to friezes and stutters in games. I got this laptop on sale for a little over 22t. R., and while that's not too bad, I wouldn't recommend it at full price; instead, I'd suggest looking into alternatives from other manufacturers because the case is absolutely atrocious, even if it seems to be the norm these days. A 4GB SKHynix 4Gb DDR4-3200 module is installed in one of the laptop's two memory slots, but the slot doesn't support speeds higher than 2400 and its timings are stuck at 17-17-17. I can't comment on BIOS modifications because my knowledge of AMD BIOS is limited; in contrast to Intel's BIOS, AMD's is poorly studied; the Ryzen Master refuses to function; and the Quick CPU makes no sense.

Pros
  • This laptop's primary features are its IPS matrix and its relatively quick processor. It was also a great surprise to see that Kingston makes a very fast NVME drive.
Cons
  • -The biggest problem is that the laptop case is really low-quality; it's all crumpled up, the touchpad presses into the case when you press on it, and now it's about to pop out. It's obvious with the RAM installed, but you should know that taking apart a laptop without leaving any telltale signs of opening it is a formidable challenge (see the analysis of a similar model 15s-eq1280ur on YouTube). A higher maximum screen brightness would be ideal for me. Please note that this is a business laptop and not a gaming device.
