I wear these every day and walk 4-6 miles a week with the dog (well.most weeks) on hilly paved back roads. The fabric on top has held up very well. I did end up adding an insole to make them a little more comfortable for me (plantar fasciitis). But sadly, at almost exactly 6 months I had worn through the sole up by the toe. These shoes are similar looking/feeling to a pair of sneakers I picked up at a big box store for $10. Those shoes also needed an insert to be comfortable to me, but they lasted 9 months before wearing through the fabric at the toe on top.I still enjoyed these shoes and they were quite good for walking.
