I read the reviews before buying so I knew it would be smaller than my old salad bowl which broke. I honestly like this one a lot better. Psychologically, this is much easier to deal with. We eat a lot of vegetarian food and a lot of salads. It really makes a perfect large salad for one (that would be me) or a large salad for a side for two. And if you want to make two large salads, simply fill and toss twice. After that, it's much easier to clean, put on a dish rack and store. Also, it is not as heavy and bulky as the larger ones when filled with water to flush or wet the greens. I'm glad I chose this "smaller" salad bowl. And it seems well done. I've used it a dozen times and don't see any problems.
