I think of these shoes as good quality for a good price. This was a purchase to replace my most comfortable pair of black tennis shoes, but I wanted something less sporty than typical athletic shoes. These will work fine for what I need. I wanted some shoes to just throw on with my jeans and run around in. Needed a slim fitting and lightweight shoe for running errands in, nothing clunky or bulky, and that's what this shoe is. It was very stiff fabric-wise when I first put them on. It took some time (one day) to get them pliable enough to wear comfortably. While wearing them for the first time, I could feel the sole of the shoe was a bit lumpy and not centered under the right shoe properly, Could really feel it when walking, but I really wanted to like the shoes so I kept wearing them throughout the first day. I ended up keeping the shoes on the entire day and well into the night just because they became so comfortable on my feet that I did not want to take them off. It sounds strange, but I don't notice the sole being slightly off anymore. I figured I'd pay at least this much for some junk canvas slip on at the major discount chain anyway, and with these, at least I'm getting a nice looking pair of lace-up tennis shoes. I think they are worth what I paid for them here on ebay.
