Back to Drawing Board with Handle

This Hast knife is sharp and of course you can use it to cut food. So why only two stars? Well, there are only a few things a knife should do: cut and provide a comfortable and secure grip. Unfortunately, this knife stumbles over the latter. My wife says that to hold the knife in a way that provides the right balance during use, she takes the solid metal handle at the end of the blade. But the handle there is very narrow, the top and bottom edges of the handle put concentrated pressure on her fingers as she wields the knife. Even if she tries to hold the grip a little further back where it's a bit wider, the grip is still narrow enough to put uncomfortable and painful pressure on her fingers. Also, holding the handle of a knife doesn't seem like a good balance point for them. What happened to the design of knives with a safe, stable and comfortable grip provided by a wooden handle of appropriate geometry and dimensions? See the photo accompanying this review for an example.
