Installing RJ45 connectors on a Cat5e cable is a big problem, but this type of connector makes it a lot easier . I bought a Klein crimping tool and these connectors and watched some YouTube videos. Started with the wiring and everything worked. A few DIY ideas: first decide if you want T568A or B connections, then print out a large photo of the connector connection diagram for that type of connection; Hold the circuit straight in front of you as you insert the wires into the connector. it is enough to trim the shell - I like to shoot almost 2 inches; straighten the twisted pairs with the handle; Use pliers or another tool to pull the wires through if your fingers aren't strong enough. It takes time, but I can't imagine using normal forks. I ended up needing extra patch cords so I made a few which is why I'm glad I bought more connectors than I thought I needed.
