Less expensive than buying a new tire

I had a lawn mower tire that would lose air about once a week. I'm tired of taking the compressor out and pouring it back in every week. I bought an inner tube because it was about half the price of a new tire and if the leak was caused by the tire not fitting the rim I would have the same problem with the new tire. I'd still have a leak, a new tire, and about $40.
