Review on Review and specifications of the Fujinon XF56mmF1.2 R lens by Bhavin Tharwani ᠌

I am satisfied with everything, both price and quality, I advise you to buy.

The lens produced mixed impressions: - On the one hand, optically - it's perfect. It is even possible to arrange a blind comparison with mirror 85 mm analogues in a dispute with someone, and it is far from a fact that the difference will be visible. Again, aperture of 1.2 for an 85mm equivalent is almost unique. Let's say the great and terrible Nikon has the largest that is - only 85 f / 1.4. Kenon has an analogue of 85 f / 1,2, but thank you, brothers: there the price tag is 2 times higher, and the weight (more than a kilo) is as much as 2,5! - On the other hand . Well, let's face it, in a number of small things it falls short of a professional lens: there are complaints about the too thin stroke of the diaphragm ring, there is a desire to have splash protection in it, etc. Do not think that I decided to be so tedious. Even with all the nit-picking, the lens, of course, is very worthy, and I really liked it. But if we put aside the wow effect and try to judge impartially, then in the bottom line it turns out that with a lot of pluses, it still has minor minuses. Summary: if you need a "make beautiful" button, this is the one. I have examples of photos in my album, all without processing: https://fotki. . Ru/users/ser7shor/album/235455/ )

Pros
  • - Magic drawing. Moreover, according to tests on the Internet, it is not possible to fully evaluate this at all. The difference becomes obvious only after you click it yourself - that's where you really begin to feel some kind of magic. Even the simplest portraits turn out to be somehow charming; - Aperture. Not even so - aperture!; - Almost classic manual control is a balm for the soul of those who got carried away with photography back in film times, but . still, you need to get used to something here (see below).
Cons
  • - I personally did not understand the chip of the digital focus ring. First, its course is not limited by anything, i. E. you can not intuitively twist from lock to lock. Secondly, this variable feedback rate with lenses . in general, a specific solution, you need to get used to it. Thirdly, it is not clear why this ring only works in fully manual focus mode (On the X-M1 at least). For some reason, there is no such thing that in autofocus mode you can slightly adjust inaccurate automatic hits with your hands; - Focusing manually on focus-peaking on the screen is still difficult, especially if you shoot on a fully open one. If you really want to turn everything with the handles, then the camera should still be with a viewfinder, because. there you can see better, and there are all sorts of more advanced sighting modes such as simulating Doden's wedges; - The aperture ring here, unlike most XF lenses, on the contrary, was made traditional, but for some reason they were too lazy to add a lock lever to it, which would block it in the extreme position A. There is such a solution on some Nikons - very convenient. It’s just that without this latch you constantly knock down the ring, because of which the aperture control with the wheel on the camera body stops working; - No matter what anyone says, but it happens that autofocus prowls. Of course, not always, always, and not horror-horror as it prowls, but it works much less tenaciously than even on an amateur xf 18-55 f / 2,8-4. And sometimes, alas, this thoughtfulness is enough to miss the plot. At the same time, there are no ated firmware in which this would be fixed at the time of writing the review; - No weather protection. - Price (although, with his picture - you can put up with this)
