I have an old Bianchi bike from the early 1990's that has flat handlebars. I really like this bike but at my age I just can't bend down anymore due to back and shoulder problems, arthritis etc. I prefer to ride upright. So I wanted to take my bike to a local bike shop and ask for cruiser style handlebars so I could sit up straight. Anyway, that was my plan. Well I recently came across these extension cords and thought heck let me try it first. MY GOD. It's life changing. I no longer have to change the steering wheel! Installation was easy. I didn't cut the ends of the handles off the shelf. I just removed the handles completely and installed extensions next to each end of the flat bars. I feel like I just bought a new bike. Hooray! Highly recommended!
