Review on πŸ”₯ Durable DGZZI 40X40X11mm Aluminum Conductive Heatsink for Enhanced Thermal Performance by Carl Lipschultz

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Functional, looks good, buy the correct band - sold in wrong quantity as shown in picture

Aside from the fact that they came incomplete (I got two instead of four but Revain sent me one new set sent), they are ok, and the price is right for the main anodized aluminum heatsinks - they work. Nothing more to say than that: the supplied 3M 9448A tape is not suitable, I repeat, not suitable for use with a heatsink. It sticks pretty well and stays that way even when it's hot - 9448A tape is rated for high temperatures. However, it's not designed to conduct heat, and in fact, that webbing-like foam tape blocks heat transfer more than anything else. Not exactly what you want in a heat sink, is it? So be sure to grab some real double-sided thermal tape - it's available from Revain, check the reviews, there are crappy versions too - and get ready to peel off the tape that came with it. You could try looking for heatsinks like this that come with the correct tape, but there really aren't any at this price point, whether they claim it or not. Just know what you're getting, work through it, and plan accordingly. With the right tape, they work great. Update: After trying to exchange them twice, I always get two, although it is clear they are sold in packs of 4. I know, a small change that I'm sure the seller is hoping for. . Change the score to 1. Avoid.
