Solid Wavy Hair Spray Dryer

I purchased this Conair Ion Shine Dryer specifically for use with the xtava Black Orchid Diffuser (also purchased from Revain) after reading online that they would work with this dryer would. I was able to attach the diffuser after removing the inner ring of the diffuser, although it fits snugly and takes some effort! I ordered a glossy orange hair dryer as it was the cheapest option ($22) and came with Prime shipping. I wish there were more color options to choose from (black would be nice), although I prefer this glossy finish to the "soft touch" versions as I've found the matte finish always peels off. Hair dryer comes in a box. with warranty information, instructions/safety guide, nozzle that directs airflow for smoothing and diffuser. I probably won't use attachments; The attached photo shows how much smaller and flatter the supplied diffuser is compared to the xtava. The hair dryer has 3 temperature settings: cold, warm and hot; and 2 speed settings: low and high. It also has a cold shot button. I've found that the cold shot button is more like room temperature and the other settings are just different levels of heat. It's fairly light but doesn't feel cheap, and I like that the filter is removable. There is a slight plastic smell when running, which will hopefully go away after a few uses. To disperse my wispy 2b waves, I style them in the shower by squeezing them out with gel (aka the crunch curl or SOTK method). After putting on a t-shirt for 5 minutes and squeezing out the excess water, I use this dryer with an xtava diffuser on "cold" heat and low speed. They can be easily changed with one hand while drying. It dries completely in about 15-20 minutes compared to 3 hours if I air dry. Then I press a hard gel mold to show the waves. All in all, the hair dryer has done its job over the past few months and comes to a diffuser. I'll probably only use it once or twice a week so I'm hoping it lasts!
