So admittedly I was a big fan of the Senheisser Drumkit 600 mics but my client didn't have that much money. CAD mics have always sounded great for the price, so I gave them a try. (I would have preferred the Touring7 package but apparently these are no longer made). With enough processing, we were able to get a great sound out of the kit (at a fairly high volume to overcome the acoustic sound of the drums themselves). ). One problem I've encountered is the rubberized clamps to clamp a head that has a parallel inside and outside of the rim. The Gretcsh heads they were used on had a solid piece of metal that flared out at the top but didn't droop on the outside. It took a few tries for the snare mic to stay connected. With the right heads, these clips would have been awesome, but these particular heads were pretty tricky.
