I wanted something more compact than the suction cup stand I use in rental cars when traveling. So far, it's easily held our phones in multiple cars while navigating all sorts of back roads and pothole-filled city streets. This bracket meets all requirements very well. Unlike other vent mounts that just press against the vents (I just checked), this mount has a strong spring clip that stays in place no matter how thick or thin the vents are (since I've had issues). The anti-fall stand is a nice touch. It has click stops so it stays where you set it, allowing the blinds to stay open and still hold my phone at the angle I set. I've been through many different phone mounts and this is by far the best combination of compactness and versatility. I also use my Vena iPhone case. It has a built-in metal flap that works great with this (or any other) magnetic mount.
