Not working - cables and connections

Somehow I managed to get it working once with my new iPad on my Samsung 4K TV. The inverter gets very hot, almost too hot to handle, after being connected to the grid for a while. Now I can't stream anything from my iPad to my TV. Looking at the other reviews I'm pretty sure it's some kind of scam. I would avoid it, it's rubbish.
