Review on ⏲️ Dual Timer Polder TMR-993-90 – Efficient Time Management in White by Jim Linquist

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A bit tricky, but not bad

Polders are excellent temperature sensors, so I don't mind trying their timer. The device is well made. The only initial problem I had was opening the battery compartment to remove the plastic insulator between the battery and the connector. It's not obvious at first that you NEED to open the stand before the battery door slides off. Love the fact that the countdown time is saved when you reset the alarm - mostly I use it every morning when I make coffee - it brews for 3 minutes and all I have to do is press the "S/S" button. " to start the countdown. The stand opens wide enough to provide good support so it doesn't tip over easily, and the display is easy to read (not backlit, but I rarely cook in a dark room). It also has two magnets on the back, but I find them a little flimsy - it slides off easily when attached to the fridge or stove, but works well with the base resting on the stove and the magnets on the back of the stove be held, the only annoyance is that the H:M:S adjustment buttons are capacitive, not buttons. And they are VERY sensitive.Working with the timer can cause some false starts as the timers change if the finger is too close I'm used to it but it needs a fine touch Will I buy it again probably because it has more things I like than most other timers I've reviewed and the price is competitive able.

Pros
  • The memory function immediately remembers the last setting as well as magnets and coasters.
Cons
  • Weight
