Review on πŸ”Š NETGEAR Orbi Voice AC3000 - Mesh WiFi System with Alexa, Harman Kardon Speaker & Fastest WiFi Router by Kelz Dixon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fast and good mesh router! But.

Have been using RBR50 for three months now. This review is about how I have used the product during this time. .Net Gear support is decent, but not the best I've used from other manufacturers. This is my first experience with a mesh network. I have an RBR50 installed with two RBS40V (Alexa) and one RBS50Y (max three satellites supported). The network covers my 1800 sqm. 100 ft, shop 100 ft from home and guest house 250 ft from shop. To be honest I have a repeater (old Linxis but still AC in the guest house). The RBS50Y external access point is located on the side of the warehouse building and the older RVS40V-200 is located in the office area of the warehouse. The only issue with 35 devices (including 6 Win10 computers) on the network always on is the lack of monitoring/flow control for network devices. I live in rural East Texas and my only ISP is Verizon Wireless. (Satellite service is too expensive.) My upload and download speeds are always limited. So if I have a device that starts downloading in the evening, I have to stop any devices updating to stream Netflix, Disney, etc. I no longer have this control with the new Net Gear RBR50 router firmware. I needed to connect a mesh network to my old NetGear X6 router that could monitor/control traffic from all devices. I disabled the X6 WiFi and only used it for DHCP and my Verizon internet connection through the Cradlepoint CBA850 aircard router to the network. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> There are network needs you need more than plug and play, this router must be great for you! Quick and easy installation with a powerful tri-band WiFi router. And I use Alexa so adding the RBS40V satellite is a plus.
