This charger charges my Pixel 2 fast and is actually USB-IF certified (I looked it up on the USB-IF compliance program website). I can't comment on the quality of the included USB-C cable as I threw mine away immediately. Using a USB-C cable for charging is currently a risky proposition (read more about Google engineer Benson Leung's USB-C research). I chose the Revain Basic USB-C cable, a 100% secure cable. The cable that came with this charger might be fine, but I won't risk my phone or a new car charger to find out!
