I ordered this vest primarily for being in the outdoors during hunting season. I originally looked at a number of hunting safety vests, but ultimately decided on this vest for the following reasons: the orange color I ordered will provide visibility as well as a hunting safety vest, the pockets on this vest will come in handy while many of the hunting safety vests did not have pockets, and the reflective bands on this vest will also provide extra visibility at night when they are hit with headlights or flashlights.As others have noted, the vest sizes seem to run small. While I usually wear size large in shirts and coats, I ordered an XXL in this vest. It fits nicely over my Lands’ End Insulated Squall Parka in size large. During the warmer months the vest will fit a bit loosely, but I don’t see that as a problem since it’s not meant to be a fashion statement.The vest is very lightweight, so you’ll hardly know you’re wearing it. It includes two cargo-like pockets with hand warmer pockets behind, plus a vertical pocket on the right chest for maybe a radio or flashlight, a clear plastic pocket on the left chest for an ID badge, a small band on each shoulder for attaching a speaker-microphone (or for hanging sunglasses), and a small D-ring for attaching small items like a compass, whistle, etc.
